Parking Information for Drivers and Dispatchers
The MAASTO TPIMS partnership provides truck parking availability information on highway signs, traveler information websites and some smartphone applications. Parking availability shown is based on the number of officially designated parking spots that are open in a parking facility as counted by each state’s county method. The real and perceived number of open parking spots may differ based on trucks parking in informal or unofficial locations (e.g. adjacent grassy areas, sidewalks, nearby ramps and the like).
Private Mobile Apps and Websites
Private mobile applications and websites will also be using the MAASTO TPIMS parking data. Several of the vendors are still finalizing their website and application updates to provide the information. Below are links to websites or smartphone applications.
Parking Data for Website and App Developers
Below are links to obtain truck parking availability data for use by website and application developers. This data is provided by each state in two data feeds. The first data feed includes parking availability data updated at least every five minutes for public and participating private truck parking locations. The second data feed includes metadata for the truck parking areas. Below are links to the two data feeds for each state and a link to register to obtain the data feed links.
The two data feeds from each state are consistently formatted. The following document provides a detailed description of the JSON format the two data feeds use.
