The Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) have released freight projections that show that ton-miles on the U.S. transportation system will grow by about half (49 percent) in the next three decades.

The TPIMS Partnership hit a milestone on November 15 with the launch of Phase II. This phase is expected to last approximately two years. Preliminary results from a MAASTO TPIMS-sponsored survey looking at truck parking issues in the Midwest have been released. The deadline to submit a Request for Information (RFI) involving data sharing, parking availability detection technology and/or procurement and private industry participation was September 12th. Eleven national and international vendors responded to the RFI's. The Partnership will review the RFI's and contact all vendors in a the coming weeks.
At the conclusion of the MAASTO Annual Conference, the entire TPIMS Partnership Team met for Workshop #3.
